O can, fy enaid gwan,
Dy Briod mwyn, cyn hyn,
A lyncodd angeu du
Ar groes Calfaria fryn,
A hyn fydd syndod
nef y nef
Diangfa yn ei glwyfau Ef.
Er holl gysgodau'r glỳn,
Er dychryn angeu du,
Mae'r fuddugoliaeth fawr
Yn dyfod oddifry;
Drwy farwol rwyg
fy mhabell bridd
Mi âf i wlad y bythol ddydd.

O sing, my weak soul,
Thy dear Spouse, before this,
Has swallowed black death
On the cross on Calvary hill,
And this shall be the surprise
of the heaven of heaven
An escape in his wounds.
Despite all the shadows of the vale,
Despite the horror of black death,
The great salvation is
Coming from above;
Through the mortal rending
of my tent of soil
I shall go to the land of everlasting day.
